MEANING

The rural employment guarantee — a hundred days of wage work a year to any rural household that demands it.

"Upadhi Hami pani" is the village word for it. Run in the district by the PD, DWMA through field assistants and SHG-linked mates; its works, musters and material bills are a standing subject of social audit and enquiry.
