MEANING
Making a person execute a bond to keep the peace — the executive magistrate's preventive workhorse.
Security proceedings under BNSS 126–143 (the old 107–110 CrPC): show-cause order, summary enquiry within six months, then a bond with or without sureties — or discharge.
